Temporary Visa Overview

 

Every year Canada welcome’s more than 35 million temporary residents. Unless they are from Canada, every individual coming to Canada for the purpose of tourism, study, visiting, or working may need a visa called a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The Temporary Resident Visa is also referred to as a visitor visa  and is an official document placed by the Canadian Visa Office in the passport showing that you have met the conditions of admission to Canada as a Visitor ( as a student, visitor, or worker)

 

The following written are the different types of Non-immigrant Visa:

 

Canada Student Visa

 A study permit allows the new coming students to study in Canada in a specific program and specific educational institution in Canada.

 

Canada Visitor Visa

This visa is for tourism. It allows you to enter Canada as a tourist. It is for up to the time period of 6 months in Canada as a tourist.

 

Parents and Grandparents Super Visa

It allows the parents or grandparents of Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents to stay in Canada for up to 24 months.

 

Canada Work Visa

It gives you a work permit with the offer of employment from a Canadian company to work in Canada on a temporary basis until you don’t get Canadian citizenship.

Requirements of a TRV

You must show an officer that you meet the requirements of IRPA and will also

 

  • Leave Canada at the end of your stay
  • Have enough money to support your stay
  • Will not work or study unless authorized
  • Will abide by the Canadian Law
  • Not be a security risk to Canada
  • Be in good health 
  • Will provide additional documentation if required
