International Experience Canada Program

 

The Canadian peoples having ages 18 to 35 can live and work in one of thirty-four countries as part of the International Experience Canada Program.

 

Because the Reciprocal agreements are in place with each of the 34 countries, in which young people from these countries can work and live in Canada. There are three categories under the International Experience Canada program(IEC program).

 

    1. Working Holiday
      Under this applicants receive open work permits that allow them to work anywhere in the host country.

 

  • International Co-op (Internship)

 

Under this applicants receive employer-specific work permits especially for students to gain experience in their field of study.

 

  1. Young Professionals
    Under this young professionals, candidates receive an employer-specific work permit to gain targeted, professional work experience according to their field of study or career path.

 

  • Working Holiday

It is a category for the applicants intending to fund a vacation with temporary work in Canada.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Candidate want to work for more than one employer. 
  • The candidate doesn’t have a job offer.
  • The candidate wants to work in more than one location.
  • The candidate would like to earn some money so you can travel.

 

The candidate receives an open work permit on the Working Holiday.

 

  • International Co-op (Internship)

The International Co-op categories are targeted at candidates looking for overseas work experience in their field of study and career.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • The candidate has a job offer for a work placement or internship in Canada.
  • The Candidate is a student registered at a post-secondary institution.
  • The candidate wants to do this work for placement or internship to complete your studies.
  • The candidate will work for the same employer in the same location during your stay time.

 

The candidates of this category receive an employer-specific work permit. Note: Internships must be directly linked to the field of study.

 

The wages provided to the candidate must follow the labour laws of a specific province or territory. 

 

  • Young Professionals

This category is for the candidates who wish to gain Canadian professional work experience.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • The candidate will work for the same employer in the same location.
  • The candidate must have a job offer in Canada that will contribute to professional development.

 

Note:  In this category, the work must be paid and not be self-employed.

 

The candidates in this category receive an employer-specific work permit.

 

Job Requirements

  • – The employer must obey the labour laws of the province or territory, like the minimum wage.
  • – The offer of a job must be determined as National Occupational Classification (NOC) 0, A, or B.
  • – NOC jobs can be accepted if a candidate submits a post-secondary diploma, certificate, or degree, along with their work permit application. The candidate’s diploma, certificate, or degree is strictly translated to English or French.
