Parents and Grandparents Super Visa

Most of the time parents and the grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents try to obtain the temporary residence visa to meet and visit their close relatives. And then they may also apply for the extended visitor visa commonly known as Super Visa. The maximum validity for a super visa is ten years with multiple entries. In comparison to a regular tourist visa which is valid for only 6 months, the super visa is more useful.

And it is very useful for those citizens also whose countries are visa-exempt. Generally, a person from visa-exempt countries is permitted to enter Canada for 6 months only without obtaining a visitor visa. And under a very new program, the grandparents and parents from the visa-exempt countries can apply from outside of Canada the letter which they can show to the border officer at the time of entry. Normally they will allow you to enter for the time period of 2 years.

And another advantage of the Parents and Grandparents Super Visa is that it takes a short processing time of 8 months as compared to other types of visas.
